- Do not soak your tattoo for 4 weeks (no swimming)
- Do not expose your tattoo to sun or UV rays for 4 weeks
- Do not pick at or scratch the tattoo
- Do not wear jewelry or abrasive clothing over the tattoo
- Avoid exercise or sweating while the bandage is on
- Avoid excessive sweating for 4–7 days following your appointment
- Keep the bandage on for at least 24 hours, and up to 2–3 days
- After bandage removal, wash the tattoo twice daily with clean hands and an antibacterial soap
- Pat dry completely using a paper towel
- Keep the tattoo moisturized 3–4 times a day with a thin layer of unscented lotion
(Always apply to clean, dry skin)
Repeat for 4 weeks
Consult your healthcare provider if you experience signs of an allergic reaction or infection
Twist your jewelry, use any cleaning solutions besides sterile saline wash, submerge your piercing in pools, hot tubs, lakes, or the ocean, sleep on your new piercing, change your jewelry too soon, overclean the area
Rinse your new piercing with a prepackaged sterile saline wound wash 1-2 times daily- and that’s it!
After cleaning allow the area to air dry. If excess moisture remains, you may gently use a hair dryer on a cool setting to fully dry the area.
