Aftercare

do’s and don’ts on how to care for your new tattoos + piercings

Tattoo Aftercare & Touch-Ups

Following your aftercare instructions is extremely important to help your tattoo heal beautifully and look its best. Some light fading or fallout during the healing process is completely normal and can be corrected with a quick touch-up.

Tattoos are typically fully healed at 6 weeks. If at that point you feel your tattoo needs a touch-up, you can review our touch up policy and submit a request form here.

You have one year from your appointment date to schedule your free touch-up.

Piercing Aftercare Instructions

Following our aftercare instructions is extremely important to help your piercing heal properly and minimize the risk of irritation or complications. Some tenderness, redness, mild swelling, and light crusting during the healing process are completely normal.

Healing times vary depending on the piercing and your body’s natural healing process. If you believe you’re experiencing an issue during the healing process, please don’t remove your jewelry on your own. Reach out to us as soon as possible so we can assess the piercing and recommend the best next steps.

Do’s

Rinse your new piercing with a prepackaged sterile saline wound wash 1-2 times daily, and that’s it!

After cleaning allow the area to air dry. If excess moisture remains, you may gently use a hair dryer on a cool setting to fully dry the area.

Don’ts

Twist your jewelry, use any cleaning solutions besides sterile saline wash, submerge your piercing in pools, hot tubs, lakes, or the ocean, sleep on your new piercing, change your jewelry too soon, overclean the area
